Welcome to the Rigan Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association! Team Rigan Machado is the premier destination for anyone interested in learning the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our students range from professional fighters to businessmen, but on the mat everyone quickly becomes part of the same Jiu-Jitsu family. Our Affiliate Academies offer exemplary training for fitness, self-defense, body/mind conditioning, as well as women and children’s classes. Understand that Machado Jiu-Jitsu isn’t just about self-defense, competition or even physical fitness. You’ll quickly learn, in Master Rigan’s words:

All classes are taught by certified Machado instructors with extensive knowledge of the art. Members receive quality instruction in Machado Jiu-Jitsu and belt testing according to the rigorous standards of Master Rigan Machado. Any official rank certificates endorsed by Rigan Machado.
Open to men and women. In this class you actually put on the gloves and spar. We do American style kickboxing which is western kickboxing combined with the kicks, knees and elbows of Muay Thai kickboxing. The class consists of reaction drills and sparring. We use 16 oz. boxing gloves and shinguards for safety, also no knees or elbows in live sparring
We alternate the training between gi and no-gi. On gi weeks, we focus on the takedowns of Judo, utilizing the gi. You will learn the trips, sweeps, and throws of Judo. On no-gi weeks, we will focus on wrestling style takedowns (freestyle and Greco Roman).
